US Coast Guard requires all mates be counted as a passenger no matter their size. An infant, although small, will take the seat of a full paying passenger if they board and thus the pricing requirement. Please be sure to indicate each person in your party when booking no matter their miniature status!
Has been with Jolly Rogers for 10 years. Jolly Charters for 3 years. Started as a part-time server while teaching elementary school. Moved to the lake full time 5 years ago. Role at Jolly has changed over the years; continue to serve part time, First Mate on Calypso-recently got my Captains license as well, office manager, and book the entertainment. Love working with my Jolly family. I’m a big KC Chiefs fan, like to travel, and enjoying spending time with my family and friends. You can’t beat a day at the lake!😊. I’ve been enjoying this lake my entire life-grandparents bought in the mid-60s; I have seen many changes on this lake and I love being a part of the fun! I have soooo many favorites on the menu, it’s hard to choose. Some that stand out-Tomato Board, Steak Quesadilla, Fire in the Hole chicken sandwich, Fried Oysters (Kraken Menu), and the BYOBurger. Yum!! My favorite drink would be a cold beer-love the Piney River options we have. I also like the Crossbones ice cream drink. I enjoy seeing our customers return year after year-they’re family!
Mayhem Marnie, joined Captain Scalawag and the rest of the crew of Calypso two seasons ago. Originally, from an old Scottish town, she began her sword fighting and pirating ways on the Hudson, before being lured to the Lake of the Ozarks. When not searching for treasure, she is said to go by the name, Mary DeMichele. Mary is a certified teacher, consultant, author and as you know a pirate, who loves improv (a very valuable skill when sailing with Captain Scalawag). Perhaps as valuable as buried treasure, the benefits of improv can be applied personally, professional and when pirating. Her new book, One Rule Improv presents a fast, easy, and no fear approach to teaching, learning and applying improv. Captain Scalawag, the official pirate of the Lake of the Ozarks, continues his adventures in search of fair winds and buried treasure by making port for his fifth year at Jolly Rogers!
Captain Scalawag, pirate Captain of Calypso, has been involved in the sweet trade of piracy for as long as he can remember. Scalawag spends his time sailing the waterways, having adventures and, when not in search of treasure, entertaining children through his live shows and appearances. Rumor has it that Captain Scalawag's true identity is that of Tim Williams. It has also been said that he has had various roles in many theatrical productions and is a multi-talented writer, director, performer, producer and editor. Some even say he legally holds the title of “Lord” and is officially a Reverend, should you be looking for someone to officiate your pirate wedding. But you know what they say - rumors are like treasure maps— it's always difficult to tell the false from the genuine article! Captain Scalawag invites you to join the crew of Calypso for a pirate adventure you won't soon forget! Be sure and look for his brand new activity/coloring book “Captain Scalawag’s Treasure Chest!” by award-winning illustrator Glen Mullaly and check out all things piratical at captainscalawag.com!
